Dragon Isles
Fly a dragon that really flies.
The real flight, in your browser. About a 10 MB download.
In development for PC and Fire tablets
Every triangle is a wing.
Duskstalker’s flight isn’t an animation. In the air, every triangle of his wings makes its own lift and drag, 500 times a second, on a full physics body. The arrows below run the same formula the game does. Pull the angle up far enough and you’ll see each triangle stall as it passes 15° to the air.
A neural network trained on this exact body drives his body through 62 control channels, the way a pilot works the controls. You point him where you want to go. Then the load he carries, the air he’s lost and the speed he’s kept all push back.
A whole island to fly.
The Roost is one island, built to be seen from the air: cliffs, sea stacks, old forest and a summit worth the climb.

You earn the sky.
He starts in an egg and can’t fly at all. Each age is its own body, and each one changes what the sky lets you do.
Then give it a reason.

Your fire burns the Hush back. Green flame runs through the thorns and the grass returns behind it. Fly the timber and stone home, and the Lantern Folk rebuild their village, part by part, on the ground you cleared.
“Dragon fire, after all these years!”Mira, of the Lantern Folk

The game opens with a comic; those two panels come from it. Everything else on this page is from the game itself, at High settings.
